Sunday, April 09, 2006 ::: IT'S A BUS WRAPPED LIKE A CANDYBAR It's total madness right now in the airlines business. Not only that low fare airlines are competing in cutting ticket prices, they're certainly competing against each other in creating the most, em, 'questionable', livery out there in aviation history. While I used to think Southwest Airlines, apart from being a rather good low fare airline, has a really ugly livery, now I have to changing my mind. The Southwest livery is so tolerable, when compared to this: See? This, the old Southwest scheme, is becoming to make some sense: While this, the updated Southwest colors, has instantly become the beauty in the sky. I really admire the person who came up with the Skybus colors, as much as I admire the one who approves that. Amazing, isn't it. Trust me, they're quite good really. If you don't, fly Ryanair. Ryanair gives you the privelege of being able to appreciate almost all other airlines currently operating on earth. At least on a decent airline like Southwest, you get a safety card to read that probably makes you feel a little safer by demonstrating that the airline does value 'safety', a bag of peanuts which shows that the airlines does care for your well being and don't want you starve to death (you can ask for more if you're hungry I believe), a colorful boarding pass to show that even the ground handlers are professional, proper boarding gates so you actually feel like you're boarding a real flying machine instead of a cattle truck... ::: posted by Wings at 4/09/2006 04:40:00 AM
